Anzac jazz tradition

For some traditional top class jazz on Anzac Day (Friday, April 25) the place to be is the Lismore Workers Club from 2pm.

The Jazz Veterans Band led by pianist Jim Hawkins will play all the favourites from their extensive trad jazz repertoire.

The band also features the superb skills of Colin Jones on trumpet (Gold Coast), Blue Newton on trombone (Newcastle), Phil Prior on reeds (Sydney), drummer Jeff McGuiness, sax man Royden Ainsworth (Kyogle) plus Lismore lads Bruce Worral on bass and Geoff Goldsmith on banjo and guitar.

The gig is free.
