High Noonan in Bangalow

Katie Noonan heads to Bangalow next Thursday to blow all music lovers away from opera lovers to pop fanatics.

This Anzac Day long weekend will kick off with a blast at the Bangalow A&I Hall next Thursday, April 24. Why? Because ex-george vocalist Katie Noonan will perform her musical magic.

North coasters can delight in hearing that superb voice live. Katie will sing songs from her new solo album Skin and mix it up with some unplugged pop, classical and original jazz music.

Katie crosses all genres with virtuosic ease.

Katie will sing with jazz trio Elixir and the more classically oriented Flametree Quintet.

Elixir features Katie on vocals and keyboard with Issac Hurren on saxophone and Steve Magnusson on guitar.

The Flametree Quintet comprises some of this countrys finest classical musicians from The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, The Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and The Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

The music starts at 8pm.

Tickets are $25 and available at Barebones Artspace in Bangalow(6687 1393), Mullumbimby Book Shop (6684 1413), Murwillumbah Music (6672 5404) and All Music and Vision stores in Ballina (6686 8111), Lismore (6622 5399) and Byron (6685 7611).
