Do ya Blok for Youth Week

Young folk muso Tom Bryce will help celebrate National Youth Week this Saturday with his guitar and tunes.

You can celebrate National Youth Week at C-Blok (in Keen Street, Lismore, opposite the library car park) this Saturday, April 12, from 4-8pm.

The Blok Party will feature talented local youth, from the Happy Hip Hoppers and JumpStyle Dance performances to the finger-style guitar of singer/songwriter Tom Bryce. With an open mic session, dance workshop and sports activities, theres plenty of stimulation.

Hear about young peoples journeys with the launch of the Shout youth stories publication. Then wind up the evening by enjoying the free barbeque (sponsored by Lismore People for Reconciliation, the Lions Club and Farmer Charlies) while you watch short films made by young people in the area. Cool.

This event is hosted by the Creative Peoples Collective and is being put on by Community Connections North Coast with funding from Lismore City Council. If you want to know more or to find out about the free transport to and from the event, phone Jaz on 6622 3143 or Nadine on 0428 486 880.
