Cal MacKinnon uses photography (and digital media) as art. Hilary Herrmann loves paint. They have combined their talents for the exhibition language of the unspoken which opens at Barratt Galleries in Alstonville this Saturday, April 5, at 3pm.

language of the unspoken is new work from them presented on paper and in artist books. It explores the essence of a day, the sentimentality of a memory and the changes one goes through on lifes journey. Its imagery of the everyday and the imagination it triggers.

Some of the artworks have been collaboratively created.

The exhibition will be opened by Lorraine Pilgrim and Camilla Connolly (and with wine and cheese no doubt).

language of the unspoken runs until May 7. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 11am-4pm.
