The importance of doing Wilde

Zoe-Asha Williams (Cecily) and Sasha McRae (Algernon) get up close and personal in Wilde rehearsal.

Director Tamaya Rose is taking a different approach to The Importance of Being Earnest a comedy of manners by that master of wit, Oscar Wilde.

The play will be presented by the Northern Rivers own youth-based theatre company, Inspired Youth Performing Arts, at the Rochdale Theatre in Goonellabah this Friday and Saturday, April 4-5 and on April 11-12, at 7pm with a 2pm matinee on the Saturdays.

The senior class of Inspired Youth have relished the challenge of producing this Oscar Wilde piece and Tamayas vision and inspiration have paved the way.

Tickets are $15/10. (Children under six are free.)

You can buy tickets at the door or phone Tamaya for group bookings on 6621 2038.
