A Nimbin institution returns

Hannah Pearl is just one of the acts at the grand re-opening of the Nimbin Bush Theatre this Friday.

The Nimbin Bush Theatre is a Nimbin icon.A converted butter factory, originally purchased and renovated back in the 70s (remember them?), the Bush Theatre was for many years a very popular local music venue and movie theatre.

Perched on beautiful Mulgum Creek, the Bush Theatre is only a few minutes walk away from town but separated enough to have its own vibe.

The theatre has been the scene of many memorable (and some great ones we forget) community celebrations and events. Unfortunately, it has been closed for some time.

But no longer!

The Nimbin Bush Theatre re-opens this Friday, March 28, with a celebratory bang from 8pm, and will be hosting a music/performance night every two weeks.

The Mulgum Caf (next to the Bush Theatre) is also re-opening.And regular movie screenings in the theatre will also begin soon. Hooray!

This Fridays Grand Re-opening will feature Hannah Pearl, Osmosis, Pagan Love Cult, Channel Free and Hopkini.

And, because its Nimbin, therell also be dancers, acrobats, fireworks and that special Nimbin magic.

All that for $15/10 with food and drinks available from the caf.

Long live the Bush Theatre!
