New website to help families

A new family-friendly website to support parents in raising their children is now online.

The website gives age-specific information on children up to eight years old, including immunisation reminders and links to services.

Raising children and running a family can be challenging and its always a good idea to look for support when you need it, and thats exactly what this new website does, NSW Community Services Minister Kevin Greene said.

Parents and carers can now access the Families NSW website ... to find practical, up-to-date information on how to raise happy, healthy children and also look after their own health and wellbeing.

The website is a joint enterprise of five government agencies, including Community Services, NSW Health, Education and Training, Housing and Ageing, Disability and Home Care, with input from community groups, non-government organisations and local government.

The websites address is: www.families.nsw.gov.au.
