Condors bedevilled by team effort

Dodgers Devils sealed the minor and major title on Saturday afternoon, defeating a valiant Workers Condors 8-0.

Dodgers Devils Loris Gordon pitched a lock-out in the grand final against Workers Condors as the premiers maintained their stranglehold on the title with a 8-0 win. The match was tight for the first two innings before errors gave Dodgers the edge and Niki Clough and Loris Gordon drove home the advantage with some big hitting.

Dodgers coach Steve Clough said it was a big team effort.Obviously Loris pitched well but Sue Wraight caught well, Marion Stevens didnt miss a thing at first, Haley Leeson turn a couple of great plays from short stop and the outfield took some great catches, Clough said.

Its a great feeling to win but Workers are the team to watch in the near future. he said. Carlie Walker pitched very well for them. Theyre a young team and our players are starting to get on in years. I think the next few years will produce some good duels between the two teams.
