A 29-year-old man faced Lismore Local Court on Mon

A 29-year-old man faced Lismore Local Court on Monday over a fatal hit-and-run accident on Ballina Road, Lismore, in the early hours of Sunday morning in which 24-year-old Goonellabah man Samuel John Hollingworth died from his injuries. Matthew Ronald Bell, of Goonellabah, was charged with dangerous driving causing death, driving in a dangerous manner and driving while his licence was suspended. He was remanded to appear again on April 8.

A 29-year-old Alstonville woman died when the car she was driving and another car were involved in a head-on collision on the Bruxner Highway near the Richmond Hill turnoff last Thursday afternoon.
