Durable, delicious Delltones

Ah, the dulcet tones of the Delltones will be heard in Lismore soon.

The Delltones were formed 50 years ago.

Yes. 50.

Theyre a constant in an ever-changing world. Audiences still scream, audiences still shout, audiences still go away singing the songs, dancing the steps and chanting the goofy chants. And not just original fans whove grown up with the band.

There are more than a few curious young, intrigued by the durability of this rock and roll institution, who are drawn by the power of a music (rock n roll) that shook the world.

With a swag of classic hits to their name (Gee, Youre The Limit, Little Miss Heartbreak, Get A Little Dirt On YourHands, Come A Little Bit Closer, Hangin Five) and a 1984 Top Twenty album (Bop Till Ya Drop), the Dellieshave charmed, enchanted and energised audiences since they stormed Aussie stadiums with Johnny OKeefe in the late 50s.

The Delltones will play the Lismore Workers Club next Friday, March 14, from 8pm.

Tickets are $36 from the club (6621 7401).
