Bush walk guide

Michael Smith has done a lot of walking. Being the vice-president of the Nimbin Bushwalkers Club would help. Michael has just released a book Bushwalking in the Rainbow Region which describes 59 day walks you can do in the Northern Rivers.

With plenty of helpful hints (dont wear a sarong), gradings, colour photos, maps and features to look out for, this little self-published beauty is a must-have for those contemplating a walk in the bush whether it be a stroll (grade one) or a bit of a scramble (grade six).

Bushwalking in the Rainbow Region is available for $7 at the Lismore Information Centre (Heritage Park) and Lismore bookshops.

Or email Michael at notmichael@bigpond.com.

Freebie: The Echo has a copy of this book to give away to some lucky reader. To go in the draw to win phone 6622 2888 between 10.30 and 10.45am next Monday, February 11, and tell us if Mt Warning was named by Captain Cook, Lieutenant Wilson or Mrs Burrell.
