Trinity honours high achievers

Showing off their awards are Trinity Catholic College 2007 HSC high achievers (l-r) Jack Dods, Rachel Hew, Louise Wagner (Dux) and Samantha Deaker.

Trinity Catholic College students who excelled in the 2007 HSC were honoured last week as a special academic assembly at the school.

Louise Waner was named Dux of the college after achieving the highest UAI with 98.95. Close behind her were fellow high achievers Rachel Hew (98.90), Samantha Deaker (98.20) and Jack Dods (98.10).

Overall Trinity gained 89 entries (52 individual students) on the Board of Studies Distinguished Achievers Merit List, a prestigious list published by the Office of the Board of Studies which recognises students who scored 90 per cent or greater in a course.

Rachel Hew was placed on the Premiers Academic Merit List with a score of 90 per cent or more in all her subjects. Special mention also went to Jack, whose drama piece Lunatics Tale has been selected for On Stage and will be performing for 10 days at the Seymour Centre in Sydney this month.
