Jeremy goes NORPA

Local lad Jeremy Sheaffe is the new marketing and development manager at NORPA, replacing Wendy Gava, who is seeking other pastures. (Cant get greener than here at the moment though.)

Ive always been thrilled by live performance, whether it is a cracking rocknroll band, a gripping theatre or live comedy, Jeremy said. And amazingly, for a regional area such as ours, the curious punter can catch any of this on almost any night!

Jeremy sees the Northern Rivers as a hot bed of artistic endeavour. He has not only performed with Lismore Theatre Club, various high school musicals and Theatre Theatre Productions, but has worked with local rock band Fort and, through Caddies Coffee in Lismore, was involved in more than a few opening night art exhibitions which doubled as great street parties.

Therell be a free launch of the 2008 NORPA season at the Star Court Theatre in Lismore on Valentines Day, February 14.

The 2008 season is shaping up in a wonderful way 15 years of NORPA so theres going to be 15 shows on the NORPA season calendar, Jeremy said. The season launch will feature local performers and musicians. Artistic director Julian Louis will outline the year ahead and launch some new initiatives.
