Beef Week seeks helping hands

The Casino Beef Week committee was this week presented with a $15,000 cheque from ANZ, but while sponsorship is trickling in, volunteers are desperately needed to help run the towns biggest annual community event.

The popular Casino Beef Week will be held from May 27 to June 3 and the organising committee is currently calling on anyone interested in the festival to attend the next monthly meeting and bring their fresh ideas to the table.

Casino Beef Week committee president Col Sullivan said people from all walks of life were needed to become involved.

People with agricultural interests, catering skills, event planning skills, interest in arts and music, to name just a few everyone in our community has something to offer the festival, and the more the festival is owned by the community the greater the benefits for the community in general, he said.

The next committee meeting is on Monday, February 18, at the Casino RSM Club at 7pm.

If youd like to volunteer but are unable to attend the meeting, download a volunteer registration form at www.casinobeefweek.com.au.
