Tasty tunes

Matt Hill and Cleis Pearce will do their classy musical thing at Bang Thai (yum) in Bangalow this Friday, January 18. Theyve been playing together in various combos for the past 10 years. At this gig theyll perform as a duo with Matt on the Wurlitzer and Cleis on her trusty violin. (I remember from the early seventies letting rip on her violin in a wild band called Mackenzie Theory.)

Cleis Pearce is a violinist who has worked everywhere in Australia and a list of places overseas. She is a regular performer at major festivals, sharing the stage with Greg Sheehan, Rob Mackenzie, Kev Carmody, Jez Mead, James Cruikshank, Gyan, Steve Elphick and many others. For Cleis, music has always been about the timeless, sacred dimensions of existence and consciousness. (Oh.)

The show is free but as seating is limited its a good idea to book a table on 6687 2000.
