Suffolk surging up the ranks

Thirty-year-old Aaron Suffolk is one of the most dedicated drivers in the V8 Dirt Modified ranks.

The engine builder from Ballina goes about his racing in a tradesman-like manner and has recorded some good placings both at Lismore Speedway and in the Roosters Cup series.

Driver of the No. 94, Aaron says that its just a matter of doing the best you can at every race meeting.

The competition is always tough and you know that you are in for a hell of a race whether it is a heat event or main event, Suffolk said. The standard of V8 Dirt Modified racing in this area is really high and its only getting better and better.

The Lismore season has been hard-fought and there are some more big shows coming up, where Aaron knows that Stuart Herne, Mark Robinson and Luke Oldfield will offer him stiff competition.

They are top racers and they are good to learn from, Suffolk said.

Aaron commenced the 2007/08 Lismore Speedway season on a high note when he finished third in the Lord Mayors Cup behind Herne and the eventual winner, Oldfield.

If the season opener serves as a guide, Ballinas Aaron Suffolk will certainly be one driver who looms a big contender this year.
