The magic pudding

Bev Crethar from Father Macs Heavenly Puddings.

Whether its divine intervention or just a good recipe, Father Macs Heavenly Puddings in Alstonville is one of the regions greatest success stories.

It all started when Father Darcy McCarthy from the Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Alstonville made a few humble puddings for a church cake stall to raise money for the local parish school.

Twenty five years later, Father Macs Heavenly Puddings is now celebrating the sale of its 500,000th pudding. Every single one has been made by volunteers and part proceeds are donated to charities such as the Lismore Soup Kitchen and the Sydney City Mission.

We never thought that Father Macs Heavenly Puddings would have reached such a milestone, said Bev Crethar, who runs the pudding factory. We have so many more charities that need our help and we look forward to assisting them with the next half a million puddings!
