2NCR FM 92.9, Lismores community radio station, has a new lease on life after moving from its old studios at Southern Cross University to new premises in Foley Road, South Lismore.

The team are currently renovating their new building to make the new station funky and colourful, and are now looking for local artists to help paint murals and artworks on the walls.

We are totally revamping our image and we want the building to have a vibrant atmosphere... being a community station were hoping the community will help us achieve that, said sponsorship manager, Amanda Morris. We have heaps of surprises in store for 2008, but were not giving too much away at this stage. Really this is a whole new era for the station and moving into downtown Lismore makes us much more accessible, plus its a much bigger space and means we can have more volunteers working on-site. We have heaps of creative positions available for anyone with an interest in radio. Sponsorship spots are filling up, we have new radio shows in place for next year and were just booming well be a force to be reckoned with in 2008.

To get involved as a volunteer or to offer your artistic talents, phone the station on 6622 7939.
