Website provides advice for school leavers

Dont panic is the advice to school leavers who will this week receive their HSC results and UAI (Universities Admission Index).

Peter Barnard from Southern Cross University said there were a range of options for students, even if they didnt receive the UAI they were hoping for.

Southern Cross University has established a website and chat room to provide advice and information to students who have applied for a place at university next year.

No matter what UAI students receive we can provide advice and assistance on the best way of maximising their chance of getting an offer, or finding an alternative pathway for achieving their goal, Mr Barnard said. We want to make sure all students have access to the information they need and have the opportunity to ask questions.

The SCU website includes a chat room which will be open today (Thursday, December 20).

Check out the website at www.scu.edu.au/firstchoice.
