Rosebank Co-Op calls for lenders

Members of the Rosebank community are working towards, as a Co-Operative, buying the Rosebank Shop, Green Frog Caf and house and land behind them. But they need more financial backers to make it a reality.

The Co-operative says anyone who lends money would receive 6.5 per cent interest on their loan, have a plaque commemorate their support and be part of the policy decision-making, as well as receive a 10 per cent discount on all products.

The Co-Op plans to make the shop and caf a one-stop-shop that will help reduce carbon emissions with less visits to other towns for provisions while also providing a meeting place with a safe kiddies playground nearby.

If we are to secure the very heart of Rosebank for the community forever, we require more people with vision to help us get over the line financially, said Co-Op member, Lydia Kindred.

Loans of any size would be most welcome. For more information or to see the business plan, phone Lydia on 6688 2220 or email kindred@nrg.com.au.
