A last minute Xmas gift for the planet

If youre freaking out because you havent finished the Christmas shopping, the perfect last-minute pressie is a gift card from Rainforest Rescue.

From only $50, up to 10 square metres of Daintree rainforest in far north Queensland can be bought and saved from development or two rainforest trees can be planted as your gift, with special cards to give to family and friends that recognise your contribution.

With the Bali Climate Change Convention helping to draw attention to the destruction of our worlds rainforests, it has been our biggest year ever for people buying the gift cards to save rainforests or plant new rainforests, said Kelvin Davies of Rainforest Rescue.

With the help of money from the gift cards, to date Rainforest Rescue has protected nine properties in the Daintree rainforest and planted over 100,000 rainforest trees in the Northern Rivers.

Rainforest Rescue gift cards start at $25. To purchase one visit www.rainforestrescue.org.au or phone 1300 763 611.
