A 30-year old man from Lismore was arrested and charged over the alleged assault of his two-year-old daughter on Monday night. Police responded to a 000 call and an ambulance was called to treat two girls, aged five and two. The youngest suffered soft-tissue injury to her back and sides. The man was bailed when he appeared in Lismore Local Court on Tuesday.

Several firearms and a green 1998 Holden Rodeo table-top utility were stolen from a rural residence on Rous Road, Rous Mill, on Tuesday afternoon. At the time the utility had NSW plates VVS-874 attached to the vehicle. Police have urged people to contact them immediately if they sight the vehicle and not to approach it.

A propeller from an outboard motor attached to a Mako runabout was stolen last weekend from a rear yard off Riverside Drive, Ballina. Information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.
