Experience the world on a plate

The International Rainbow Clubs inaugural World on a Plate dinner was so successful another has been planned for this Sunday, December 2.

The concept brings together people from all different cultures in a relaxed atmosphere where people can taste food from many other countries and share a laugh.

The first dinner was a test run with 80 family, friends and official guests attending, said Filipino community member and one of the cooks, May Hall. We received such wonderful feedback from everyone who enjoyed tasting the delicious food from Italy, Sudan, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany and Australia that we decided to hold it again and open it to the public.

The next World on a Plate dinner will feature food from Africa, and will give everyone the opportunity to experience cultural dance and learn more about the experiences of African refugees.

The event is on this Sunday, December 2, from 6-8pm at the Lismore City Bowling Club.

The cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the Lismore City Council Chambers in Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah, or at Councils CBD office in Magellan Street.
