Dolphins back in the winners pool

The Far North Coast Dolphins bounced back after a 44-10 hiding last round at the hands of the men from the Western Plains to run out 21-17 winners over Mid North Coast. Most of the action in the round-three NSW Country Championships match was condensed into the first half in Grafton on Saturday. Tristan Allard and Ballinas Dru Baggaley both crossed during the first half for the Dolphins and Dywayne Corrigan piloted two penalty goals as they made it to half time ahead 18-12.

The Dolphins, who boast a Casino-dominated pack, were bolstered by the addition of Grafton and NSW Country prop forward Dan Haynes in the second half but it was the all-round efforts of Baggaley which earned him the Man of the Match points.
