Devils dominate

Dodger Devils showed their dominance when they gave Rous Rangers an 11-nil thrashing in the major semi-final on Saturday in the A-grade womens softball at Albert Park. Dodgers came out firing with Niki Clough and Sam Dowse each slamming a home run over centrefield in the first innings. Dodgers continued their batting onslaught throughout the game with hits from Loris Grodon, Sue Wraight, Kayleen Shailes, and Sam Dowse, with Dowse clobbering another home run later in the game. Rous struggled with the bat and made too many errors.

In the minor semi-final, Workers Condors had a convincing win over Casino Ratpack 16-7. Carlie Walker pitched an excellent game, Lauren McGowen had a double play with Karina Harvey, Kasey Renwick and Bronwyn Gibson each hitting a three-base hit.

This Saturday at 4pm Rous Rangers will meet Workers Condors in the preliminary final.
