Invisibles in Nimbin

Local rockers Invisible Friend will play in Nimbin this Friday.

The hills of Nimbin will come alive this Friday, March 23, when the Invisible Friend crew roll into town to play the Nimbin Hotel from 9pm. Invisble Friend has become a favourite of the local live music scene with their psychedelic rock, funk and blues sound.

Born into the Aussie pub scene of Wagga Wagga, the crew have followed their addictive music into nine countries (and still counting). The band are on the home stretch of the completion of their new album and you can expect to hear songs from this long-awaited recording.

This Dolphin Award winning band will also return to Nimbins Peace Park in May for the MardiGrass festival.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
