Malcolm: independent brilliance

Summerland Christian College student Naomi Malcolm (pictured) has returned from the NSW Christian Schools State Swimming Championships in Sydney as the second-best swimmer in the Under-16 girls division. Naomis outstanding performance means she will now take part in the State Combined Independent Schools Championships, as well as the National Christian Schools Championships later this year.

Naomi Malcolm won the 50m backstroke, placed second in the 50m and 100m freestyle, fourth in the 50m butterfly and 200m individual medley, fifth in the 50m breaststroke and sixth in the 200m freestyle events.

I was really happy with my times and Im ecstatic about having the chance to swim at the Nationals, Naomi said.
