Electro hurdy-gurdy

In playful experiments with musical and emotional parameters, Matthias Loibner (hurdy-gurdy, looping) and Tunji Beier (percussion, looping) achieve a multilayered sound filled with feeling.

They are Zykado and theyll perform their archaic-modern sounds with hurdy-gurdy, drums, stones and bells at the Bangalow Catholic Hall this Saturday, March 17, from 8pm.

Tickets are $18/16 at the door.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
