New boys in town

Brisbane-based jazzists The Newboys will swing into Lismore to play hot and cool this Sunday.

With a mix of Jaco Pastorius, Chuck Mangione and Duke Ellington, The Newboys will play it sweet when they hit the Lismore Heights Bowling Club from 2pm this Sunday, March 18.

Theyre the latest in a parade of visiting jazz acts presented by The Lismore Jazz Club.

The line-up is headed by Wayne Newey (bass) and includes some of Brisbanes finest jazzmen Ian McRae (piano), Paul Hudson (drums), Jamie Wengrave (guitar) and features Gold Coast-based Mal Wood on trumpet/flugel and vocals.
