A 15-year-old Lennox Head youth will face Ballina
A 15-year-old Lennox Head youth will face Ballina Court later this month after he was caught riding his unregistered Kawasaki 80cc motorcycle with no lights on near the intersection of Ballina Street and Rayner Lane, Lennox Head, at 1am on Sunday morning. The youth allegedly forced pedestrians off a footpath as he tried to elude police. He was charged with driving in a dangerous manner, unlicensed rider, unregistered and uninsured motorcycle.

A 34 year old Wollongbar man who allegedly tried to evade police at a random breath-testing site in Simpson Avenue, Wollongbar, last week was charged with several offences and bailed to appear in Ballina Court later this month. The man, who drove into the driveway of a nearby home when he saw the breath-testing unit, was unable to produce a licence, having been disqualified until September 2009.

Police are seeking witnesses to a single-vehicle accident which occurred at 9pm on Tuesday night at the intersection of Mongogarie Road and Busbys Flat Road, Leeville. The male driver was seen to run from the scene after his vehicle failed to take the intersection and collided with a tree.
