Green Corps team launched

MP for Page Ian Causley welcomed the latest Green Corps team (pictured) at Kadina Park yesterday. Headed by EnviTEs Philippe Binetruy, the team will spend the next six months working around Lismore. They will improve the biodiversity of local habitats of platypus and other threatened species of plants and animals. As a result of their efforts members of the public will have improved access to the exciting natural environment that lies right on the doorstep of the Lismore CBD, such as Tucki Tucki and Pelican Creeks.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
