Country Labor Lismore launch

Country Labor candidate for the state seat of Lismore, Peter Lanyon held his Lismore launch at Spinks Park recently.

In his speech he said it was time to unleash the creative potential of the people of Lismore.

For too long the National Party have taken the seat for granted, he said. They have assumed the vote and theyve had a born to lead mentality. And its time for a change. Only when you have a local member in government are you capable of getting the attention of ministers.

Mr Lanyon said he was looking forward to The Echos Meet the Candidates forum next week to robustly debate the issues.

Ill be putting forward alternatives to the what has been, he said. Im looking forward to the whole event. It will be a great opportunity for folks to see the contrast of the candidates and the policies.
