A bloomin good day at Casino flower show

You can meet Casinos best dressed scarecrows, Russell Crowe and Clint Eastwood, next Saturday, March 3, at the Casino and District Garden Club Flower Show and Fair at the Presbyterian Hall in Hickey Street from 9am.

The pair are just two of the early bird entries in the shows best-dressed scarecrow competition, which joins the flower competition and three others: the prettiest ladies garden hat, best decorated kids bike and an art and photographic competition.

There are also gardening talks and market stalls, plus the Gardening Guru Phil Dudman will share some handy garden tips. Light refreshments will be served and there will be cake stalls and local produce for sale.

Art and photography entries must be delivered to the Casino Visitor Information Centre by next Wednesday, February 28, while flowers need to be dropped off at the Presbyterian Hall between 6.30 and 8.30am on the day. All other competition entries can be dropped off at the hall by 9.30am on the morning of the show.
