NORPA presents Shoe-Horn Sonata a play that investigates and honours the evacuation of women and children from Singapore during February 1942. Two women from this tumultuous time, when the Japanese bombed the evacuation ships and took survivors prisoner, reunite for a television documentary 50 years later. This is their emotional and often humorous tale.

Starring Belinda Giblin and Maggie Kirkpatrick, this play is playwright John Mistos memorial to this important piece of history. It has won a stack of awards since its writing in 1995.

Shoe-Horn Sonata will play at Lismore City Hall next Tuesday and Wednesday, February 20 and 21, at 7pm. And theres a school matinee next Wednesday, February 21, at 10.30am.
