Animal loving handy men and women needed

If you love animals, are skilled in any kind of building trade and have a little bit of spare time, why not lend a hand to the Northern Rivers Animal Rights and Rescue Group (ARRG).

Over the past few years ARRG has campaigned to have its own animal centre and finally attained the land and development application in June last year. Now ARRG needs skilled or semi-skilled trade people to help complete the animal centre so it can stay within the limited budget.

The completion of the animal centre will enable ARRG to save many more unwanted pets in the re gion that will otherwise die.

Phone Barbara or Suzanne at ARRG on 6622 1881 or 0432 890 687 if you can help out in any way. Visit for more information and to view many of the rescued pets.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
