Help for descendants of war vets

Six scholarships worth $4000 are up for grabs through the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund Inc. The scholarships are for Australian citizens under the age of 25, who reside in NSW or the ACT and are commencing the first year of a NSW or ACT university-approved degree course.

Applicants are required to prove that they are a lineal descendant of an Australian WWI or WWII ex-serviceman or ex-servicewoman, as well as demonstrating an understanding of the importance of the Gallipoli tradition and the battle at Milne Bay.

Scholarship applications close on March 1, and application forms are available at www.gallipolischolarship.org.
