Coraki Pro-Am honour

The Coraki Golf Club has once again secured the rights to run a $15,000 Ladies Golf Pro-Am event next Sunday, February 18. The Australian Ladies Professional Golf Order of Merit event will be the fourth presented by the club. The highly successful tournament has previously been won by Mullumbimby local, Nicole James and Melanie Holmes-Smith from Melbourne, while Tuncurry youngster Sarah Kemp mastered difficult conditions to take out the event last year with an excellent 6-under par 67.

More than 40 lady professionals have competed in each of the previous pro-ams and all indications are that as many, if not more, will come again, said Coraki Golf Clubs president, Neil Clark.

We have received many letters of appreciation from lady professionals who have competed previously, saying that they really enjoyed the day and will return if possible, he said. So we are assured once again of a quality field, with a number of international players, as was the case last year.
