Bye Bye Beef Week?

Just short of celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Beef Week committee announced that the festival celebrating beef and the bush would be no more citing a lack of sponsorship and volunteers to run the event. The Casino community has been reeling over last weeks shock announcement and there are hopes of resurrecting this proud local tradition. See pages 12 and 13 for our feature story on Beef Week and pictures from the 2006 event which now could prove to be the last.
