Three little maids from school

Ballina triplets (from left) Sophia, Alessia and Laura Spina-Crummy will join tens of thousands of other NSW five-year-olds next week as they start school for the very first time. Dressed in their identical St Francis Xavier school uniforms, with identical plaits and identical shoes, these three identical little girls might cause their kindergarten teacher some confusion, but the triplets are more than clear about who is who.

Im the oldest and the tallest, said Sophia. And Alessia is the youngest.

Born by Caesarean section on September 16, 2001, the triplets mother Carolyn Crummy said that Sophia was indeed the first to be delivered, about seven minutes before Laura and Alessia.

The NSW 2007 first term of school officially starts on Monday, January 29, with most students back in class by Tuesday.
