Labor candidate launches campaign

The ALPs candidate for the state seat of Lismore, Peter Lanyon, will launch his campaign on Wednesday, January 31, at the Kyogle Tourist Information Centre.

Mr Lanyon, who has been principal of Barkers Vale Public School for 14 years, says as a parent of a special needs son, he is committed to supporting people with disabilities and their carers. He said he is also committed to the Your Rights at Work campaign, increasing funding for preschools and improving training opportunities for local youth.

Mr Lanyon says his home is solar-powered, and he supports renewable energy policies.

He invites anyone interested to come and meet him personally at the launch, which will feature guest speakers, representatives from the Your Rights at Work committee and a BBQ supper.

It will run from 5.30-7.30pm.
