Intimate insights into disability
Victorian-based photographer Belinda Mason-Lovering believes that ignorance, not physical impairment, is the biggest disability.
The artist is confronting stereotypes head-on with her new touring exhibition, Intimate Encounters, which opens tomorrow (Friday, January 19) at the Lismore Regional Gallery. The exhibition looks frankly at the many misconceptions around disability, sexuality and body image. Lismore woman Kath Duncan is featured as one of the models in the exhibition, along with Caroline Bowditch (pictured). See page 3 for more.
