Bye-bye boys

The Phil Morris Small Band has a huge reputation in these parts but soon the band will be smaller because Phil (front centre) is going back to England (to claim it as part of the Aussie empire). Clarinetist and local jazz identity (i.e. he plays everywhere with everyone) Pietro Fine (second from right) is also leaving the North Coast heading to Melbourne for some sun.

Therell be a farewell gig at the Lismore Bowling Club (next to the Memorial Baths) on Sunday, January 21, with music supplied by the Lismore Stompers, the Clarence Jazzmen and the Phil Morris Small Band.

The cool riffs start at 2pm and last until 5pm. Entry is $8/5 and the venue has lovely cold beer. And therell be a sausage sizzle.

See ya later Phil and Pietro. Your contribution to local culture is appreciated and youll be well missed.
