Guru Giri blows in

That man with the didgeridoo, Ganga Giri, is back in town after tearing up the Woodford Folk Festival with his pumping sounds based on his doo playing, the percussive grooves he sets up with musos in his collective, and electronic doodling.

Ganga Giri and Collective will play the Great Northern Hotel in Byron next Tuesday, January 16, from 9pm.

Gangas crew will feature Gumaroy (indigenous didge player) on vocals and two of the best Aboriginal dancers in this wide black land. Ganga Giris seventh album Raisin It Up will be officially launched at this gig.

Sound good? Wait, theres more.

DJs Adham Shaikh (from Canada) and Sean Candy will add to the evenings ambience with their own takes on what is cool. (Adham is a famous DJ/producer from Canada who has just launched his fifth album Collectivity.)
