Funny fest for February

Stand-up comedian and world traveller Greg Fleet will be one of three comedy panelists discussing travel and life on the first night of the Big Joke comedy festival in Bangalow soon.

Festival capital of the world Bangalow has added yet another feather to its rather busy festival cap. The Big Joke is a three day comedy festival that stretches the laughter from Friday to Sunday, February 9-10.

This festival of funny is all set to grip the North Coast in a seizure of cackles, belly-laughs, grins and snickers with some of the biggest names in Australian comedy coming to the North Coast for the humour action like Fiona OLoughlin, Scared Little Weird Guys, Dave Callan, Greg Fleet, Jonathon Atherton. Theyll be joined by the areas best Mandy Nolan, Brendan Lovechild, S Sorrensen, Sandy Gandhi, Robert Grayson, Jenny Wynter and more...

This is the first year of The Big Joke and festival director Mandy Nolan sees it as the start of something big.

Im a big girl who believes in starting small. A comedy festival should be built with careful consideration of the spirit of the community, she said. We want to have maximum enjoyment with minimal impact. Its the people who live here that we see as our potential audience. We

want to make laugh with all of you.

On day one (Friday, February 9) therell be a panel discussion on travel called Tripping Out where Jonathon Atherton, Greg Fleet, Dave Callan and Mandy Nolan (as MC) will confront the vagaries of travel. What should you take? Are drugs allowed? Is it better to travel alone?

Find out when Tripping Out comes at you laughingly live from the Bangalow A&I Hall from 8pm.
