Holiday fun in Evans Head

Holiday fun in Evans Head

If you live in Evans Head and your kids are in desperate need of a good, healthy run around during the holidays, get them along to Evans River K-12 School in Cypress Street.

Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon during January fun youth activities have been organised by the Silver Sands Caravan Park in Evans Head in conjunction with two local sports coaches.

Activities include social soccer and netball games, leadership awards and giveaways, fun games and pre-season coaching for those interested.

These activities provide ongoing fun for kids to be involved in on a weekly basis, said coach Dale King. Even with the unpredictable weather weve been able to have fun and stay safe between showers. The games of soccer and netball have just been like family backyard games. Very light-hearted, plenty of giggles, and the parents watching cant help but join in. Its just wonderful holiday fun.

The activities are for children aged eight to 16. Session times are 4-6pm and the cost is $2 per child. Bring along a drink bottle and wear suitable clothing, footwear, and sunscreen.
