Woods earns a shot at the big time

Lennox Head surfer James Wood (pictured) found winning form at North Narrabeen last week, taking a big win in the Von Zipper Trials. The win has earned him a place in the Billabong ASP World Championship which is currently underway. Wood posted an outstanding 9.5 ride, the days highest score, in the opening minute of the final. He went on to take a very comfortable win over fellow Australian Mitch Coleborn.

The Billabong ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) World Junior Championship is the most sought-after junior surfing accolade on the planet and is recognised globally as the future of surfing.
