Many kids are thrill seekers and adventurers at heart, which is why NSW Sport and Recreation is offering them an opportunity to test their skills in a well supervised environment.
Some of the extreme sports on offer for kids these school holidays include surfing, skateboarding, mountain biking and kayaking, which all test the agility and courage of participants.
These programs have been designed to meet the growing need for more action-packed energetic sports and physical activities, said James Roberts from NSW Sport and Recreation. Its a great opportunity for kids to get into extreme sports under supervision and in a safe and controlled environment.
The programs include a three-day surf camp from January 14-16 and a two-day surf clinic from January 17-18.
A one-day skateboard clinic will also be held on January 19, while a mountain biking tour of the Nightcap National Park gets underway on January 16. All other activities are held at the Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre.
The programs are open to children aged eight to 16.
