Dont forget to get a licence
A happy Christmas to all our readers and good fishing in 2007. Remember that if youre a once-in-a-year holiday angler that you still need a fishing licence in NSW if youre over 18 and not a pensioner. Its about $12 a month. Although there will be many extra people trying their hand at catching a feed, catches should still be good as there are some good tides coming up for whiting and some nice flathead about.
One thing I should have mentioned is that all the bass referred to in the last few weeks from Clarrie Hall Dam have been released. It is much to the credit of these anglers that every single fish was returned to the water to help ensure a great fishery into the future. Legally you are able to keep two a day and have up to four in your possession at any time (which includes the freezer at home) but in reality these fish from the dams are not the best eating.
Anyway, see you in the New Year and dont forget to send us in some of your Christmas fishing snaps. They dont have to feature a huge catch just you or your family having a good time fishing.
