Cool Willy gig

Cool musos dress in black. Its the traditional dress code. And you cant see the booze stains. Daddy Cool comes from the good ol US of A and tickles the ivories in the great tradition of the boogie and blues. Suffrin Willy Lee (ex Layabouts) squeezes the blues from his six-stringer with an intensity that borders on abuse. Ma Belle sings. She coaxes every bit of soul from a lyric.

This New Years Eve theyll perform two different shows at the Dunoon Sports Club. The first show will feature some fine boogie and Rn B. The following show will be a step into brave new territory for this ensemble country music.

Weird Western Tales and Strange Country Tunes is the name of Daddy Cools latest recording project.

The gig starts at 8.30pm.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
