National park adventures in January

Every summer the National Parks & Wildlife Service runs a Discovery program, offering people the chance to explore the many national parks in the Northern Rivers with a qualified ranger while enjoying exciting and adventurous activities.

These activities range from Cape Byron Lighthouse visits and Aboriginal cultural tours to bushwalks, snorkelling, rockpool rambles, caneoing trips, bird watching, beach games and much more. Most of the activities are suitable for children and very affordable. The Discovery program runs from January 8 to 24 and registration is required for most activities. For more information and bookings phone 6627 0200 or visit for a full program.
